The Nektar Panorama P4 is an advanced keyboard controller instrument that is designed to provide an intuitive workflow and enhance performance and creativity. With its deep Reason implementation and vast programming options, the Panorama P4 is the perfect keyboard controller for Reason DAW software.
The Panorama P4 features a 49-note weighted (semi-) velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch. It has 5 velocity curves and fixed pitch bend and modulation assignable wheels. The octave shift buttons and PB1/2 buttons allow for even more control. The keyboard also has 4 zones that can be programmed with controller filters and program changes.
The P4 also comes with 12 pads that are dynamic, sensitive, and balanced carefully with a solid feel that allows for complete expression. The pads have 7 velocity curves and a note-learn scale mode with 30+ scales and interval setting. The velocity spread functions allow you to spread the selected pad assignment over all 12 pads at different velocity levels.
Display and Navigation
The P4 also has a crystal-clear 3.5″ color display that delivers essential information for each mode or menu, making your workflow fluent and fast. This makes operations that seem complicated straightforward and simple.
The dedicated communication protocol ties Panorama and Reason tightly together, so all you have to do is select the mode and menu you want to control. Panorama does the rest. The P4 has 3 Reason modes, allowing you to switch between controlling the Mixer, Device (instrument or effects), and Transport with the 4th mode, Internal, free to control your ReWired DAW.
Additional Features and Connections
The P4 also has Monophonic aftertouch, pitch bend and modulation wheels, plus footswitch and expression pedal jacks. It has 16 encoders, 9 45mm faders, 10 assignable LED buttons, and 11 dedicated transport buttons. It also has 20 preset locations that store all settings including links to keyboard, pad, and F-keys maps.
