Evolved Step Sequencer
The unit has 16 pads on the front panel that allows users to create patterns intuitively while hearing and seeing the sounds. Users can also record phrases in real-time using pads as a keyboard or perform step recording.
Intuitive Beat-Making
The “touch scale” function allows anyone to perform without hitting wrong notes. The trigger pads make it easy for users to create phrases intuitively and can also be used for drum input.
Hybrid Synth Engine
Besides a sampler sound engine, there are several types of analog modeling sound engines that are great for creating synth basses and pad sounds. There can be up to a total of 999 preset and user samples, and a maximum of 270 seconds of sampling time can be used.
Advanced Use of Samples
The “Time Slice” function detects attacks within the phrase and slices it appropriately, allowing users to play the phrase at the desired tempo without significantly affecting the sound. Sounds within a sliced part can also be used separately by assigning them to steps or parts.
Ableton Live Integration
The Korg Electribe Sampler can internally save and export patterns in Ableton Live format. Individual patterns and parts are saved as scenes and clips in an Ableton Live Set, and users can edit and refine their ideas, perform or record new parts, arrange their ideas, and mix their song using Live’s powerful Session and Arrangement workflows.
